It is on the passengers side firewall. The easiest way to replace it is as follows: Jack up the right front and place a JACK STAND under the frame. Remove the wheel. On the outer lip of the wheel well opening are some bolts. If memory serves me they are 1/2 inch. Remove all of them and under the hood will be a couple. Take a pry bar and place it between the fender and the wheel well and pry it outward. Place a small 2x4 in the opening and turn it sideways so theat you have a 4 inch opening. Next unplug the power wire (purple) and take a 5/16 inch socket or wrench and remove the motor. The ground wire is also held on by a 5/16 bolt. Remove the motor and remove the fan. On some there was a metal tab that has to be used again. It will be on the bottom of the fan. Now if you can read backwards you will have the instructions for the installation. Have a Great Day and preserve the oldies. I have a 1970 Chevelle SS Convertible 396 with buckets. It is all original and worth $118,000.00. The more original the more the worth.
