If an immobilizer light on a 2005 Peugeot Boxer will not go out it indicates a problem with the wiring. The immobilizer can be by-passed until the wiring can be checked.
i amstuck with the same problem , i have a different separate immobilizer unit apart from the key, deactivated by touch.need help !!!
The short answer is - you don't!! wouldn't be much of an immobilizer if it were easy to bypass. You need to either fix the fault which is causing the problem, OR send the engine ECU off to a specialist who can reprogram it to disable the immobilizer
It can be the solonoid or the starter itself. TAke it to a garage and have it checked out. I have the same problem in my Explorer Sport. It could be your Anti-Theft immobilizer. Somehow my keys unprogrammed themselves, which didnt match the code in the ignition, therefore the car would not start. If a mechanic cannot fix the problem, call a locksmith.
we have had problems starting our car which turned out to be a transponder fault but it flashed up engine immobilizer on the dash. the part cost about £6 but it cost £90 to have the problem diagnosed on the computer at the citroen garage!
the immobilizer prevents then engine from starting when for instance someone is trying to steal the car. if you have the proper key this should not engage.
Yes it has the immobiliser and the corresponding key on the instrument cluster appears and dissapears in 5secs. I suspect issue with a relay/solenoid based contact which is actuating the Self motor. Looks like your battery is not charging up properly. If jump start works, then I don't think there is any problem with starter motor, wiring or immobilizer, I maybe wrong too. Checking the charge in the battery will rule that out. We can then look at other angles. May be something as simple as a starter motor wiring loose contact. Get it checked ASAP. Does it have an immobiliser with a coded key? If yes, then that may also be the problem. But I would start with basics like the starter motor.
It shows there's an immobilizer problem.
You have an immobilizer problem. Try another key.
i had the same problem and it turned out to be my immobilizer had stopped the car from starting
This may be a problem with the immobilizer, the engine isn't disonnecting the immobilizer from the engine, i.e. stopping the engine from being started.
I have Pacifica 2005. Had problem with immobilizer. Took time for shop to figure out that it is PCU (computer) fails to read immobilizer signal. Computer was rusted inside, it seats under driver`s side front wheel. If someone needs more info how to fix this problem, text me on mail- ruslanrodika@gmail.com. It`s free. I paid 1650$ can.
