The transmission oil cooler built into the radiator has gone bad. There is a good chance engine coolant is also getting into the transmission. This is a serious problem. Do not drive the car any further. Have it towed to a garage to replace the radiator and flush both the cooling system and the transmission. Good luck.
Take it to an oil and lube shop and have them flush the radiator.
Coolant? Bad radiator Radiator has a separate cooling tank (usually at the side or bottom of radiator) for transmission fluid. At times this tank ruptures allowing coolant to get into transmission. Most times causing a transmission failure.
check your radiator hoses and change gaskets
Your transmission cooler tank (its inside of your radiator) has gotting a leak in it. Your tranny fluid & antifreeze are being mixed with each other. You need to have your radiator fix & a complete flush of both the tranny and radiator. If your transmission has not slipped any you will be ok as long as you don't wait about having it fixed. The longer you wait about having it fix the more damage it can do to your tranny. Your hub that holds your tranny clutches (the band) has a glued sand paper like material on it that the water will harm if trere to long.
Be sure cooling fan for radiator is kicking in. Since radiator also cools transmission fluid. Also, be sure fluid levels are okay. Sometimes the simple things can cause the biggest problems.
Check your transmission fluid levels. Look around for leaks...you'll see a reddish fluid around the drive axle on your transmission or around the radiator.
From the transmission? No? But antifreeze & transmission fluid can mix. Your transmission uses a small portion of the radiator as a transmission cooler, normally at the very bottom or side. In very rare instances, this cooler can develop a leak and allow transmission fluid and antifreeze to mix together. The only fix is to replace the radiator.
Find the leak source and repair it. Usually the cause is cooler hoses.
The transmission oil cooler is located inside the radiator. If the transmission oil cooler developes a leak the oil will mix with the engine coolant. Check the transmission fluid. If it looks like a strawberry milk shake the transmission is in trouble. The longer you drive it the more it will cost to fix. Have it towed to a transmission shop asap.
This would only make sense if you have an automatic transmission. What is probably going on is this; Your coolant flows through the radiator to cool down the motor. Your transmission fluid does the same. My guess is that you have a leak inside of your radiator, and the coolant and transmission fluid are mixing. This is a serious problem as your transmission is not cooling properly, and probably being damaged everytime that you drive the vehicle. I would suggest a new radiator.

Fix the cause, or keep adding fluid.
