"Chevy Express Back Driver's Side door handle Jam solution"
Hi,
For those of you who just found your Chevy Express Back Left hand door handle not working here is a solution...this might help.
If you look inside the door and study the handle mechanism you will notice a rod coming down from above and one that should be going up from below (the rod coming up from below will be harder to see because it is hidden behind the metal door, but if you look hard you will find it) when you pull on the handle.
The rod some how dislodged and is no longer working probably due to a clip
popping off.
In my case the lower rod popped off and there are two things you can do to solve the problem. The manual fix is simple. When you open the door on the right, reach into the back of the door on the left and gently pull up on the rod...you should hear a click...then you want to pull on the door handle to make the rod coming down open the door for you. The door should open.
The second solution is kinda a jimmy rig.
Place the lower rod back into the plastic fitting which no longer has the clip to hold it there. Take 3 zip ties and try and go around the rod and the plastic mount in such a way that you are pulling the rod into the plastic mount. I did this tonight and it worked well. Don't know how long it will last but the door handle is opening and closing fine.
Good luck,
Solomon

Unfortunately the Chevy Express of 96 TO 02 does not have folding bench. I don't know for others years.
The 2001 Chevy Express Van crankshaft sensor will be on the back of the engine. You will need to remove the rear engine cover in order to access the crankshaft sensor.
My 2004 Chevy Express Cargo Van has all the following controlled by the main head light switch. The dome lights, the delay, dash light brightness. All for only about $170 plus taxes. Know that it is the part you need. I suspected a short and the electrician rewired the dome lights, and back up lights to bypass the harness. All is well now. Good luck,
Remove the decorative cover from your 2006 Chevy Express stereo. Remove the stereo retaining screws. The stereo will slide out. Remove the wiring harness and the antenna cable from the back of the stereo.
