step 1 . remove air bag fuse, disconnect battery & there are cpa clips in the right and left fuse box disconnect connectors from there (yellow and black wires)
step2. wait 20 min after disconnecting the battery, then proceed with the air bag removal.
step 3. back of the steering column there are 2 screws remove them to get access to the back part of the steering wheel. there would be another 2 screws holding the air bags 8 or 10 drivers are needed unscrew them , remove wiring harness.remove air bag
step 4. to install reverse the process.
step 5. for passenger side remove the glove box in the dash then you wil access 2 screws holding the airbags. unsrew them remove harness. reverse the process for installion. :)
Disconnect battery. Remove air bag. Remove bolt holding steering wheel to column. Use a steering wheel puller to remove wheel from column.
PROPERLY remove air bag (if equipt), then remove nut holding steering wheel on and then use a steering wheel puller to remove it.
you don't because it's a federal offense to remove a steering wheel that has a stock air bag in it
You need to get a special tool, steering wheel puller. If you have it, disconnect the battery. Remove the steering wheel air bag (there are two screws holding it in place). Disconnect the bag harness. Remove the center steering wheel nut. Using the puller remove the steering wheel. Installation is reversed to removal.
Remove two screws 10mm from back of steering wheel,take the air bag part off the steering wheel after removing the two screws,then there should be one big bolt that you haft to remove . The steering wheel will come right off..
be careful all in the wheel area remove the fuse for the air bag first or dont do the job!!!!!!!!!!! you need a steering wheel puller
Start the engine and turn the steering wheel from stop to stop. As you turn the steering wheel from extreme left to extreme right this will remove the air from the system. You may have to repeat this a few times to remove all the air.

Disconnect battery to starter relay cable (14300) for at least one minute to let the air bag backup power supply discharge. Refer to «Section 14-00». 3. Remove four air bag module retaining nuts from air bag module on back side of steering wheel (3600), and lift module away from steering wheel. 4. Disconnect air bag wire harness connector, and remove module from steering wheel. 5. Disconnect horn/speed control wire harness connector in steering wheel. 6. Remove steering wheel retaining bolt. 7. Install Steering Wheel Puller T77L-4220-B1 and remove steering wheel. Route contact assembly wire harnesses through steering wheel as steering wheel is lifted off shaft.
Pop the horn button off. Under that is the larger nut that holds the wheel in place. Afte that is removed, use a steering wheel puller to remove the wheel.
Depends. if you want the Ford steering wheel, Try going to a wrecker and getting a Ford Steering Wheel with out an airbag or you could go to a Auto store and buy a sports style steering wheel
Have a mechanic do it. Air bags are nasty!
air bag has to be disconnected and taken out of the steering wheel and then the nut that holds the wheel on has to be taken off and a wheel puller is used to pull the wheel off it's splines.
