The cost is determined by if the head needs replacing or resurfacing or not. Also depends on who repairs the vehicle. Find a trusted ASE Certified mechanic and let him repair it for you. Expect to pay at least $1,000.

this is not very likely at all. somebody made a mistake when changing the oil. wither they left the old gasket on or did not tighten the filter enough. it was not "pushed" out.
No not hardly. The only thing that stuff will do is stop up your heater core and radiator. They have never made anything in a can are bottle that would fix a blown head gasket.
my 1999 chevy tahoe 5.7 was located in front of the oil pan, and not above the starter as so many said it would be....
