the emergency brake pads ARE the REAR brake pads.

Lift the car, remove the tire, remove the brake caliper, remove the old brake pad. Put in the new brake pad, replace the brake caliper, replace the tire and lower the car to the ground.?æ

Lexus IS300 3rd brake light is changed from the back seat. Pry the light up and disconnect wiring. Replace bulb and put back together. Easy job
The first thing you should do is remove the master cylinder so you can dump the brake fluid reservoir out. If you have used the brakes, it is a very good idea to get the entire brake system bled and replace all the brake fluid.
Generally, brake pads should be changed between 20,000 and 180,000 miles. This depends on the brand of the brake pads, and the persons driving habits.
If it is a drum brake system, then you will have to remove the wheel ,drum, brake shoes, and hydraulic brake line , then remove and replace the cylinder with a new one re-assemble and bleed the hydraulic brake system
