5 qts of valvoline On a 3.1, it's 4.5 quarts (not 5 quarts)and that's WITH a filter change. I've never changed the oil without changing the filter, but if I did, then I'd guess a little over 4 quarts. I've never had a 3.4, so I can't say. One my 3.4 Chevy Lumina it's 6 quarts.
