If you mean the Ford 5.4 liter V8 engine ( instead of GM's 5.7 ) it depends on
what model and model year for the horsepower rating . A little more
information please .

The 4.0 liter OHV - V6 engine has 160 horsepower The 4.0 liter SOHC - V6 engine has 205 horsepower The 5.0 liter V8 engine has 211 horsepower
The 3.8 liter V6 engine is ( 190 horsepower )
The 1994 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 liter engine was rated at 215-horsepower
Well , the 1.3 liter ( 81 cubic inch ) engine in a 1991 Ford Festiva is rated at 63 horsepower
On a 1996 Ford Taurus : The 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 engine is rated at ( 145 horsepower ) The 3.0 liter " Duratec " DOHC , V6 engine is rated at ( 200 horsepower )
The 3.8 liter V6 engine is 190 horsepower
The 4.6 Liter has 260 horsepower 302 lb/ft. I know nothing about a 1999 Ford 4.8 liter engine.
In a 2005 Ford F-150 the 4.6 liter V8 is rated at ( 231 horsepower ) from the factory
I believe the 4.0 liter - SOHC - V6 engine is 210 horsepower
The 4.0 liter SOHC , V6 engine that was used in the 2005 to 2010 Ford Mustang is rated at ( 210 horsepower from the factory )
The 1986 Ford Mustang 3.8 liter engine was rated at 120-horsepower
