Restricted fuel return line or a faulty fuel pressure regulator.
The standard fuel pressure for a 1998 Chevy 3500 with a 454 engine is 50 PSI. If fuel pressure drops much below this level, the fuel injectors will not work properly.
The 4.3L engine in 2002 should have 60 to 66 psi of fuel pressure.
The fuel pressure specs. are 9 to 13 LBS./PSI no more and no less.
It if fuel injected and does not have a carburetor.
40psi
50 PSI, nominal.
No it will not. Now it will bolt right in there but the transmission will not work and the fuel pump in the fuel tank has to much fuel pressure for a carburetor
60 to 66 psi
It should have 9 to 13 LBS of fuel pressure. No higher are lower, are you will have starting and running problems.
no less than 25lb at the fuel rail for smooth opperation
