Freon (R12) has not been installed in any vehicle since 1995.
The amount of Freon that goes into a 1995 Chevy Suburban depends on whether or not their is just front AC or front and rear AC. If the Chevy Suburban on front AC only it takes 3.0 pounds of r134a Freon. If there is front and rear AC then it takes4.25 pounds of r134a Freon.
2LB. 12OZ.
There is no set amount. You or a technician need to put a high & low pressure gauge on your vehicle to determine the amount of Freon still in the system. Then, add more until you reach the factory specs. A good shop manual will tell you that.
I believe it is 1.5 units.
as much as you need to untill the gauge gets to the right point.
1lb 3/4 of r134a
2 1/2 lbs.
On a 2003 model with dual a/c units it will be 1.65 pounds and on a single unit it will be 1.1 pounds..
There are 4 of them and range from $75 to $200
It depends on what year, single or dual ac. Suggest you check under hood label.
