Lockup Solenoids refer to electronic gadgets in automatic transmissions that lock the torque converter in certain circumstances, such as at highway speeds.
Torque Converter Lockup is computer controlled on modern automatic transmissions. Solenoids such as the TCC take inputs from the power train computer such as throttle, fluid temperature and pressure the modulate TCC engagement.Ê
Some of them do, if that's their function. Solenoids are electric switches. A small amount of current to the coil causes the electric switch to be able to conduct a large amount of current. One application for a solenoid in a transmission is to engage the "lockup" torque converter.
The "lockup torque converter" could be engaging too soon. Take it to a transmission shop to have it diagnosed.
No. You have a 32RH transmission. It is a 3-speed automatic with a lockup torque converter, no overdrive gear.
Yes but, the 92 is non lockup and the 93 is a lockup torque converter.
on a 200r4 or 700r4 its on the side of the transmission.
yes it will especially when the torque converter is going into lockup

It's probably the torque converter lockup relay. It could also be the torque converter, but there isn't any way to test this on your own. You'll have to take it to a trustworth transmission shop.
If you mean the lock-up converter, Then yes it can and will stop the transmission from going into lock-up after the trans. has shifted it's self out.
Sounds like the transmission is not shifting right or that our lockup converter is not disengaging.
