on a 2.3l motor all data states it should take .8 hours, it is located on the front of the motor in the thermostat housing that connects the upper radiator hose to the cylinder head of the motor...on the 3.0l and 4.0l both are rated for 1.0 hours and still are both located in the front of the cylinder head behind the housing that connects the upper hose from the radiator to the block...remember the poppet side (side with the spring) goes inside toward the motor and ALWAYS install a new o ring or gasket if it is called for...good luck
how do you change tail light cover on a 1994 ford ranger
What size engine do you have?
To change a thermostat on a 1994 Toyota Camry V6, drain the radiator partially. Remove the upper hose assembly, unbolt the thermostat, and put the new one in place. Refill the radiator completely.
I had this problem before on a ranger you have to pull the dash board out and it will be right there.
It is near the thermostat. can you give a better location left or right of thermostate above or below it
It should be on top in the intake manifold it should be near the thermostat housing. Good Luck !
Remove the water supply hose from the top of the thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. The old thermostat will simply lift out. Reverse the process to install the new thermostat.
Well it depends on the type of engine you have, but that only has to do with the thermostat's location. The Haynes GM manual #38025 has instructions on how to change the thermostat in section 3-3. Amazon has copies of it dirt cheap.
where is the thermostat
Get a repair manual from your local auto zone its hard to explain where it is, on my 4.0L Ranger its on the bottom left .
you cant change it it is controled by the computer
For a 1994 Ford Ranger , 4.0L V6 engine : The PREFERRED oil is 5W-30 With engine oil filter change ( 5.0 U.S. quarts / 4.7 litres )
