How do you replace the ball joints on a 1998 Monte Carlo Z34??
The 2004 Chevy Malibu ball joints will cost approximately $45 each. Replacing the ball joints will require approximately 3 hours of labor.
need to use a ball joint press.
First you loosen the axle nut using a 34mm deep socket. then remove wheel. take brake caliper off then the upper and lower ball joints. then the spindle should come off.
first you take it in then pay them to do them for you!!!!!!!!!!
Im basing this answer off my 97 blazer ls 4wd. Both upper and lower ball joints are bolt on so u will need to remove the bolts and the ball joints should fall right off.
ball joints cannot be tightened. if they re worn and have play in them, they need to be replaced
