None, the firebird formula 455 was built between 1971 and 1974. The formula was only avilable with the 400 and 350 from 1975 to 1979. According to the data displayed by yearone.com, there were 7528 Trans Am Coupes produced with 455's. All of these units were equipped with Manual transmissions. The rarest of the group is the 1976 Limited Edition 455 with T-tops.
There were 5,250 Formulas in '72 including Canadian cars.
Zero. There were no Formulas until '70. 7,708 of those.
702 formula 455's were built. No breakout from PHS as to how many were equipped with the optional functional ram air hood. I have a late '74 one (built 8/14/74), red/red, ram air, full gauges, formula wheel, posi, pw, ac, & added Honeycombs & a factory am/fm stereo.
Zero. There were no Formulas until '70. 7,708 of those.

I show 49,048 Base Firebird & 15,358 Tran-am
there where 0 455HO built. The HO engines where only placed in the trans am. But Pontiac built in total 7802 formula's with 455 engines. 1860 manuel transmissions 5942 automatics This is incorrect. According to High Performance Pontiac Magazine February 1994 there were 166 Formula 455 HO's built with manual transmissions and 155 built with automatic transmissions. It is the rarest of the 71 Firebirds. I have one of the automatics (along with complete PHS documentation and window sticker showing the car being a 455 HO).
Unless I am sadly mistaken, Pontiac built zero. The 455HO (round port heads) were never made again after the 1972 model year. In 1973 and 1974 the Hi-Po 455 was the Super Duty which was offered in the Formula, but is very rare as a factory build. The late 70's "HO" used d-port heads. I currently own a '72 Formula, and have bought and sold several '70 - '72 Firebirds, Formulas, and Trans Ams stating over 30 years ago.
