It may vary from one application to another. Most, I believe, take 5.
The 1993 Chevy Camaro starter can be found on the right hand side of the engine. You can follow the positive at three cable directly to the starter.

Three hundred thousand... what?
average life of a 3.1 v6 with proper oil changes and tuneups lasts about 160,000 miles according to common reviews on engine life
The spark plugs in the 3.8L V6 are located directly below the valve covers on each side of the engine. They are very difficult to get to in the Camaro, because the engine sits so far back in the engine bay. Follow the wires to find the plugs. (3 per side) Look for the six flexible wires going from the tom of the engine to the sides. There should be three a side going from the common point (the distributor cap) to three spark plugs on each side. i have a 99 camaro and i just changed plugs. To change them you have to get under the car and they are about middle way on the block. they are a pain to get too and you will need a swivel socket to get to most of them. There is only 1 you can get too from the top of the car. make sure you let you car cool down. 2 plugs are right by the exhaust manifold.
The Chevrolet Camaro first came out on the market in 1967. The first three years shared the same style and in the previous years has changed body and engine shape frequently.
