well it depends on what part of the dash you're taking out. to remove the whole thing you need to start be opening both doors. where the fuse pannel is, there will be another pannel that pulls off, then there are two or three screws. The same goes for the right side of the car. next there is one screw down below the radio, kind of down belo where the gear shifter is, you have to look for it; and take that out. On the top of the dash by the windsheild, you have a defroster vent, it should just pull off and there are two screws that need to come out. If you open the glove compartment and stick a flashlight in there, there.s a opening twords the top on the inside where you should see two screws, screwd into a metal peice...thats holding part of the dash and the airbag on. Almost done!! Take a look at the glove compartment again, there's more screws that have to come off, there located at the lip or edge of the compartment door. Do a quick check and see if you forgot any screws, if not, then the dash should pop off when you pull up on it, dont be scared to pull hard, it's just clips holding it in. After that it's really easy to see what needs to be unscrewd and how to take apart the whole dash. sry for spelling errors...any more ?'s just message me

how do you take apart the dash cover on my 2003 Chevy cavalier
the headlight flasher is located under the dash next to the OBD plug in (that plug where they check engine codes) on the drivers side..
the relay or fuse is under the dash board in the drivers side. you will need a flash light but it should be marked on the fuse box. on some of the cavaliers it is not the relay but the positive connection to the horn it self could be coroding. use sandpaper and reconnect.
The directional flasher for a 1992 Chevy Cavalier is under the dash. It is mounted on the drivers side, beside of the steering column.
on the side of the dash on the driver side
Just guessing without having it in front of me but, I would suspect the roller dimmer switch on the dash. I know that if it is unplugged, all dash lights go off. So check the plug-in for a short.
