first you need a timing gun, you have to get some white out and paint the groove that's on the balance that sits on the timing chain cover pretty much straight down from your intake. you can see the pulley and right behind that is the balance. on your distributor theres a hold down bolt if your facing the engine to the left of it kinda hard to see. you loosin that enough to be able to turn it, start your car up aim the light at the balance and someone will have to turn the distributor while your aiming the light. not sure what the specs are but after that get the line lined up on the balance turn the car off make sure the distributor doesnt move tighten down the hold down bolt and you should be good
The mark on the cam gear should be at 6 o'clock and the mark on the crank gear should be at 12 o'clock.
You may want to have the engine timing checked?
