If this is a 5 spd S-10 2000, .... Then disconnect the hydraulic clutch cable from the transmission. Remove the bolts that hold the bed to the frame. Jack up the bed of the truck to give yourself about 6-8 inches. This will allow you to reach the bolts to the bell housing. Make sure you remove the gear shifter, boot cover too. Drop the drive line, remove the exaust pipes from the manifold and get them out of your way. place a transmission jack under the transmission and begin removing the bell housing bolts. Once the bolts are removedbring the transmission down and back. when you can see the hydraulic clutch, simply remove it and replace. Ensure you bleed off all air from the clutch once you re-install the transmission. (Raising the bed of the truck is the only way you will get to the bell housing bolts and allow yourself room to bring the transmission back and down).
no adjustment on the 5speed manual transmission with overdrive. hydraulic clutch
The clutch has an automatic adjuster therefore there is not a provision for a manual adjustment.
You will need to remove the transmission to replace the clutch slave.
Yes you can remove a manual transmission and replace it with an automatic. You will need to buy an aftermarket shifter kit of find a shifter for your vehicle from a junk yard. You will also either have to remove the clutch pedal or replace the pedal assembly
your clutch is probably shot
yes, you can make almost any vehicle with an automatic transmission manual, but it is usually not worth the expense, you have to get your hands on the manual transmission then you have to modify the floor for the shifter and put in a clutch & linkage all in all not usually worth it
if its a manual transmission its attached to the clutch pedal housing if its an automatic its the shifter
Right next to the clutch hydraulic line where it enters the bellhousing.
the clutch Chevy Colorado 05 manual transmission need calibration or ajusted
You may need to replace your master and slave cylinders for the clutch. Try pumping the clutch while the truck is running while it is in neutral. if its easy it shift after doing that than that's probably your problem
The transmission must be removed, and put back in, not replaced.
There isn't a neutral safety switch but a clutch switch that is located under the dash on the clutch pedal.
