You start by disconecting the negative - battery terminal. climb undre the car and dixconect the 2 whires going to the starter. Then unbolt the starter from the transmission. replace is the same way, just oppisite. If you don't even know where the starter is than, follow the positive battery cable till it stops. that is the starter.
Check for air in your cooling system and/or flush the heater core. Check the rad cap to make sure that it is holding the pressure
disconnect cables from battery. follow pos. cable to starter and disconnect. follow neg. cable to end disconnect bolt mounted to engine. good luck. hamsandwich
I would say a good thing to buy is a Haynes book from a parts store for your car.
i need to replace mine also and is it located at top of upper hose to the right..under...near housing..looks like a real pain in the but..thermostat cost 7 dollars at any NAPA..but labor would prob be about an hr if you took it in...if you can find it..(it faces downward)..and remember what you took off..you can prob put it back together..good luck Very easy repair actually. Make sure that you replace the gasket at the same time. You may have to disconnect some wires if they black access to the thermostat cover.
Well I had an ignition coil replaced in a 1990 Oldsmobile and the coil cost approximately $50. Labor would probably cost approximatley $35.
$600.00 to $1000.00
