I'm not sure to what year of Blazer your looking for but i have a 2000 Chevy Blazer... mine recently went out and really finding the ashtray in the dark is tricky esp with the angle it opens at. There are basically two parts of the ash tray. There is the base of it that you don't want to take out and there is the cover that the actual ash tray sits in. First pull out the tray in the ash tray to make things simple. There should be two Philip's (+) screws visible on the top cover. Take them out. With a little wiggle the top cover should be separated from the base but the cigarette lighter and the ash tray bulb should still be connected to it. This part is a little tricky. you have to rotate the cigarette lighter to unscrew it. mine was already loose so it was easy to do. Caution: don't use a screw driver cause you might cause a short and then u would have to replace a fuse and don't stick your finger in it cause you'll shock yourself. After you manage this part you'll be to pull out the cover a bit more. Now you'll be able to simply pull the bulb out of the cover then simply pull the bulb out of the housing. to put it back together. simply fallow the instructions backwards. Oh and if you haven't bought the new bulb yet the bulb number is 161. Try to find one as an LED. they last long and provide better light.
how do you change ash tray light bulb in a 1998 GMC Sierra 1500
the flasher is located under the dash down near the ash tray
you don't because it does not have a light in it, or you can use magic. I'm confused, the Owner's Manual states Replacement Bulb Ash Tray Bulb No. 161. I checked parts replacement and found: Wagner Lighting - Ash Tray Light Bulb Fits Your 2001 Dodge Durango
it's located under the dash mid way left of the ash tray area
In Britain it is an ashtray.
You smell like an ash tray Your car smells like an ash tray Your house smells like an ash tray
