I just replaced the tail light and it didn't appear to match the first answer. Here are the steps I followed: Raise trunk and locate and remove the two screws on the plastic taillight assembly. The next part is tricky as the owner's manual fails to tell you how to lift out the assembly. Pry off the carpeting in the trunk just behind the assembly and you will see two plastic pieces that seem to follow the assembly around the corner of the car. Starting from back to front, you will only want deal with the first plastic piece. Take a pair of pliers and squeeze the two outer edges together so that the plastic bracket will fit through the square hole. IMPORTANT! You will only want to push the assembly sideways. Do not try and pull it to you if you are behind the car as the second plastic bracket contains a pin that only is designed to move laterally/sideways for removal. At this point you should have the whole assembly at your disposal, and you can change each bulb by firmly but gently twisting the bulb bracket out of the rear of the assembly. Follow the steps backwards to reinstall the assembly. Carefully pry the lamp housing cover up Lift the cover ooff the access the lens and bulb. Carefully remove the metal cover with a suitable pry tool Twist , remove and inspect the bulb. If it is bad, replace new one. Install: reverse procedure

Remove the tail light from the outside. Pulls out. Replace bulb. There is no access from the inside of the trunk.
You normally gain access to the bulb from inside the trunk.
The 1993 Toyota Camry backup light fuse is part of the brake light relay switch. The brake light relay switch can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard.
The 1994 Toyota Camry emergency brake light switch can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The emergency brake light switch will be beneath the far left hand side of the dashboard.

is my car safe to drive if the break light and abs light is on in my 2007 Toyota Camry
Check the bulbs, the fuse and the brake light switch.
I'm trying to find the answer for that on a 1997 Toyota Camry.
Check the brake fluid reservoir. If it is low, the light will come on notifying you that the brakes need to be serviced.
Replace the bulb that is burnt out.
