I just did this last week - it's pretty simple.
1. Open up the rear hatch. Next to the light assembly you want to get into, find the two black bolts holding it in place. Unscrew them.
2. Pull the light assembly towards the outside of the car (i.e., pull left assembly left, or right assembly right), and then pull it straight back. It'll take a decent amount of force.
3. Once you've got the assembly off the car, press in and turn to take out the bulb socket. Replace the bulb, put everything back together, and you're done.

There are several companies which produce repair manuals for a 2001 Pontiac Aztek. Haynes, Chilton, and the original manufacturer all have service manuals produced for the vehicle.

There are two o2 sensors made for the 2001 Pontiac Aztek. Both are located on a exhaust piping of the vehicle. One is closer to the exhaust manifold, while the other is closer to the catalytic converter.
The Pontiac Aztek was considered one of the worst 50 cars of 2001 because of its poor safety performance. More than half of the accidents that occured in the United States of America in 2001 involved Pontiac Azteks because of its faulty breaks and poorly designed air bags.
