You will most likely need a special tool for removing oxygen sensors (auto stores carry them as well as the sensors). Then I soak them for several days to a week with a good penetrating oil (like PB Blaster), then use jack stands to safely get under Jeep and start it up for only a couple minutes or less to heat the exhaust pipe to expand it (only want it warm not hot!). The while it is warm remove the sensor. Make sure the replacement has anti-sieze compound on the threads & install replacement.
In a 1998 Jeep Wrangler, the oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust pipe. It can be found just below the junction of the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe.
Check engine light would appear.
Right after the catalytic converter or " downstream " of the converter.
the oxygen senor plugs into the manifold on the left side of the engine if faceing the jeep from the front.
Use a 02 socket. The 2 sensor are located in front and behind the cat.
A 2002 Jeep Wrangler does not have a mass airflow sensor.
If you are getting a p0123 code on a Jeep Wrangler, it means that your throttle body sensor is not working properly. Once you replace this sensor, the code will go away and your Jeep?æwill run smoother.
where is the oxygen senor located on 1995 jeep wrangler
Why are you replacing sensor, you have a new car and there are several other problems that can cause a DTC to be set for an O2 sensor. Fuel pressure high or low, vacuum leak, misfire, etc. What are symptoms?
Your MIL ( malfunction indicator light ) will be lit and a code for your O2 sensor will be logged.
yes
You want to look on the intake manifold on the Jeep Wrangler.
