To replace the ignition coil:
Unplug the wires from the coil, take note of how they come out so you can put them back. Unbolt the bracket from the intake manifold. The original coil is riveted to the mounting bracket, the new coil usually comes without the mounting bracket. Next cut the rivets off that hold the old coil to the mounting bracket. The new coil normally comes with bolts to hold it to the old bracket. Install the new coil to the mounting bracket then mount the bracket to the intake manifold. Plug the wires back in.
