Drop the fuel tank and follow the wires. Yes, you have to drop the tank, no there is no hole to access the ppump. Turn the clip on top the tank and pull the pump. The whole sending unit is about $300.00. If you buy the cheap one it will work, but th ewhine is very loud! VERY LOUD! You will have to almost yell inside the truck! Go ahead, ask me how I know!
if the tank is full. taking the bed off the truck would be a lot easier. there are 4 bolts(18mm) on each side of the bed. unhook the wires that operate the tail and brake lights(behind the bumper) unbolt the filler neck from the bed NOT from the tank. ask a friend to help you lift the bed and walk it off the back of the truck. it is not as heavy as you think. unless it is a step side truck. if it is a step side get more friends.

Replace the door latch.
remve the tail light they are on the back side.
there are actually no screws. pop the hood and look for the plastic tabs above the headlight...one on each side of the headlight. pull them straight up and voila'.
