take tire off first, then use whatever size Allen or torx wrench to remove caliper screws and pull off caliper take off old pads. Be sure to take off cover to the master cylinder under the hood where the brake fluid goes and compress the brake caliper cylinder with a C clamp(Make sure master cylinder cap is open when you do this so you can put new pads on caliper. once you have new pads on put back on over rotor and put pins back in and put cap back on master cylinder pump breaks once your done to make sure pads are tight against the rotors.

how do you change the brake pads on a 2003 S10 BLAZER To change the front pads you need to jack up blazer and pull off wheel.the brake caliper is held on by two hex head bolts.Remove these and gently pry the caliper up off the rotor.You will need a C- clamp to compress the piston back into the caliper ,so when you install the new pads ,the caliper will fit back over the rotor. put the two hex bolts back in ,and your done.
Look at the pads and measure the thickness. The minimum allowed thickness for the brakes pads is 2 mm. Replace if they are worn to this point. You will have to remove the wheel to measure the pads.
