This is better left to the professional who knows the ins and outs of swimming pool lighting , GFCI's and codes in your area. He will also know which best fits and is compatible with the current housing or nitch. He will also know how long of a cord to order with the new light fixture. Code may also require that there be update modifications done to the conduit and location of the GFCI box.

How do you replace turn signal bulbs on a 1987 Chevy Celebrity?

It depends on which bulb is burnt out. If it is the front bulb in the bumper you can reach up behind the bumper and unplug the socket and replace the bulb. You may need to loosen the valance to reach up to the bulb. If it is the bulb in the front side marker just take out the screws and remove the fixture, the socket can then be removed to change that bulb. If it is a rear bulb in a sedan or coupe: 1. Inside the trunk near the quarter panel on the side the bulb is burned out on there are three nuts. Remove the middle nut, it should be in the middle of the tail light fixture. 2 Pull the stud out of the body then pull gently away from the center to remove a tab from the backup light fixture. The fixture should now be loose. 3. Remove the appropriate socket and replace the bulb. Reverse the procedure to reinstall the tail light fixture. If it is a station wagon the lens is held on with screws. Take the screws out and remove the lens. Then replace the proper bulb and put the lens back in place. I

Why does one bulb in a fixture blow out?

One possible reason is arcing inside the lamp socket. Loose bulbs can arc inside the socket. One sure sign of arcing is if the light "flickers" when it is on. Take the bulb out of the fixture and examine the contacts on the base. If any part of the base appears burned, there is arcing inside the socket. Arcing can cause a bulb to blow prematurely. Make sure the bulb is tight when istalling a new one. The best cure is to replace either the socket if it's removable, or the whole fixture if it's not. Also if it's an enclosed fixture, the heat from the light bulb can get trapped inside, causing the bulb to overheat, thereby causing it to fail prematurely. This is likely if you have too large a light bulb in the fixture, i.e. using a 100 watt bulb in a fixture designed for a 60 watt bulb. Try a lower wattage bulb.
