∙ 11y agoBefore working on the Toro model 20017 lawnmower, disconnect the spark plug. The drive belt is visible under the mover. Use a ratchet to remove the blade. The drive belt is now accessible and can be easily changed.
This is one of those times when you need a gunsmith.

Best left to a trained gunsmith.
Find a good gunsmith or buy a book on Model 12 repair.

Pull pump action back. screw the knurled part at end of stock to loosen it. Remove barrel. Turn knurled part all the way off and plug and spring should come out. Replace spring and replace knurled part. Replace barrel and you're ready.

Toy spring.
Depends on the model and year. Some are easy and some are very hard and very dangerous to remove. If you have to compress the coil spring to remove it, my advice is to let a pro do it.
I just received an A-5 recoil spring that was stated to fit the Remington model 11 12 gauge with a 5 round magazine tube . The A-5 spring was 3" longer than the original model 11 spring. Will it fit? Yes; after I shorten it.
