I had to replace one once by removing the dashboard. It was located just below the defrost vent.I just remembered what wires I removed in what order and put the new one on in same fashion. If I had to do it again I would just pay someone else to do it.
There is a gravel guard under the front bumper fascia that mus be removed. (7mm) Then you should be able to reach up under the driverside of the nose cone, and find the motor. It is about 3 inches tall, and just lifts straight up, about 1 inch. When its clear, you can unlug it from the feeder tube, and power (disconnect battery first).

there is no rear wiper fluid reservoir
out of fluid, pump motor burned out, fuse blown,etc...
i think its located in the washer fluid reservoir
Check either at the bottom of the windshield washer fluid reservoir or check to see if the wiper motor has washer hoses connected to it
Drain the fluid from the reservoir. Reservoir drain tube. Remove the wiper reservoir retaining bolts. The wiper reservoir will come off.
The 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo windshield wiper fluid reservoir can be found in the engine compartment. The windshield wiper fluid reservoir will be on the drivers side of the engine compartment.
Please check the windshield wiper fluid reservoir.
The pump should be connected to the base of the washer fluid reservoir.
It is on the bottom of the fluid reservoir.
There is no rear fluid reservoir. The fluid is pumped from the reservoir under the hood that feeds the windshield washers.
It is the same reservoir for the front and the rear. Suspect a bad pump, or clogged, disconnected, or cracked hoses leading to the rear wiper.
