Sometimes there is a bolt holding the arm to the armature of the wiper mechanisum or you stand the arm up away from the glass;(some arms have a little holder that has a little tab on it to slide it into position to hold the arm up. If you have one of thses in the basr of the arm you'll see it) using a block of wood between the glass and part of the wiper arm that in pressed onto the armature you use a prying tool to lift the base from the arnature. The base is spring loaded so watch out; it'll jump when releasing.
