Remove the decorative cover to your 2001 Chevy Lumina stereo. Remove the stereo retaining screws. Slide the stereo out and remove the wiring harness. Remove the antenna cable.

I have a 10" sub and an amp in my 2004 Chevy silverado. My dad got it for me but he also had to by a different stereo. I don't know if just the chevy stereo wouldn't work with it or if it's all stock stereos.
Stock speakers should be 4x6's
The size of the stock rear speakers in a 1991 Chevy are 6"x9". You can go to crutchfield.com for any other car stereo needs, just provide the site with some information on your car's year, make, and model, and body. From there they will provide you with the correct speakers that will fit your car. I hope that has helped!

No, Chevy changed the wiring harness in 2003. and the way it is mounted, it can be made to work though.
i currently have the same prob...to my understanging the stock stereo runs along with the dash lighting, so did you remove the stock stereo? also check fuses on the driver kick panel
