If yours is like my 88 astro the pump is in the top of the tank. most people will tell you to drop the tank to change it. i howeverever decided to cut a hole or trap door thru the bed of the van to reach it. it turned a 4 hr job into a 5 minute one. however be careful because there are gas lines and electrical lines going to the pump you could cut thru if youre not care ful.
The fuel pump is in the fuel tank.

You have to remove the fuel tank to get at it.
Drain the fuel from your 1990 Chevrolet C 1500 gas tank. Remove the fuel line. Remove the fuel pump retaining plate screws. Remove the fuel pump. Reverse the process to install the new fuel pump.
drop the fuel tank and it's inside. remove the retainer on top then pull out the pump from the fuel tank
fuel pump is under the rear passenger seat . when you remove the seat there will be a panel with four screws. remove the screws than panel to acesss fuel pump.

It is inside the fuel tank, you have to drop the tank, and remove the sending unit, from the tank to replace the fuel pump.
The fuel pump is inside the fuel tank.
The fuel pump for the 1990 full size blazer is located inside of the fuel tank. If this model does not have an access plate in the floor of the blazer then the tank will have to be removed to get to the pump.
Most likely inside the fuel tank. You will have to drop the fuel tank and remove the retaining ring on top of the tank and the pump/gauge/filter assembly will come out.
The fuel pump is mounted on top and inside the fuel tank. Look for an access panel above the fuel pump inside the vehicle. If there is no access panel then you will have to remove the fuel tank in order to access the fuel pump and remove it.
