The cup holder in a Dodge Ram has four bolts, and two bolts above those bolts. You will need to unscrew all six bolts and then the cup holder drops off.
Open the cup holder and remove the two screws on the outside.
4 sheet metal screws on top and pry out and in and it should pop out.
Pull the cup holder out as far as it will go. Pull up on the seat upholstery right above the cup holder so you can see the very back of the cup holder. There is a tab there. Push down on the tab while pulling out on the cup holder and it will slide right out. Reinstall by lining up in the slide rails and push it back in.

Remove original ashtray, remove 4 screws that hold ashtray mounting bracket. This will give access to the 2 screws that hold inner end of cup holder. The cup holder must be pulled all the way out to get to screws. Remove screws, remove 2 screws in front face, cup holder will come right out. Installed updated cup holder in 20 minutes, start to finish!
open your cup holder and on the top lip of opening there will be two screws, remove those then the center dash piece can just be popped off. then theres just four screws holding in the factory stereo.
