Undo the crankshaft pulley bolt { anti clockwise } Then you will need a good strong puller to remove it. or try to move it by tapping the back of if fairly hard until it comes off.
yes
Remove anything that may obstruct pulley (belt, wheel, etc.). Your best bet is to use an impact gun to remove bolt in center of pulley (turn counter-clockwise and use safety goggles). After loosening bolt you need to use a harmonic puller to get pulley off crankshaft (do not use impact gun on puller). Tip: Unthread bolt about 1/4 inch from crank pulley then use puller, loosen puller and remove crank bolt a few more turns off crankshaft, then use puller again to slide crank pulley off crank again, keep repeating until it is off.
It is behind the Timing Cover. Torwards the crank pulley.
there are 2 crankshaft sensors on that engine. one is located in the back of the engine, the other is near the crankshaft pulley.
behind the crank shaft pulley. remove pulley and install new one make sure to replace it in the exact same spot it was before of you will tear up your new sensor
The 1994 Ford F1 50 crankshaft sensor is located on the back of the engine. You will need to remove the rear engine cover in order to access the crankshaft sensor.
You will need a power steering pulley puller. It is designed to remove and install the power steering pulley. If you attempt to remove the pulley without it you will probably damage the pulley or the pump or both.
Counter Clockwise.
The 1994 Ford Probe has a brake fluid reservoir that should be mounted on the drivers side firewall. Remove the cap on top to add fluid.
I have the 1.8 version and have changed the timing belt a few times. There is no shortcuts, you need to remove the alternater and power steering pump belts first, then the crankshaft bolt on the bottom pulley and remove the pulley. All this just to get the plastice belt guard off. The belt guard is in two pieces, you can remove the upper half to access the condition of the belt only.
on a 2.0 litre its located on the engine block on the forward side just aft of the main pulley.
