It's a pain. The inner cv joint goes into the transmission and "snaps" into place by a little ring around the shaft. To get it out you must somehow pull the cv axel straight out toward you. It's not easy. I cheat and use an old dent puller tool. there is no easy way to get it out. Be creative. You gotta replace it anyway so go nuts. Lol.
