The attaching points that hold the dash can be accessed from behind the dash itself. You may want to remove the instrument cluster as well as the glove box door and radio to make the job easier, dont forget to remove the trim up by the windshield. There are tiny hex head bolts underneath the front hangover portion of the dash pad and there are ones at the top in the vent. Unbolt them all and she'll come right out.

There are two entry pads on the 2002 Escalade. The first is the remote pad and second is located in the secondary information center on the dashboard.

There is not dash "pad". It is a one piece instrument panel.
The starter relay is attached to, and an integral part of, the starter motor. The Starter relay is located in the center of the dashboard just under the dash pad. The dash pad can be removed by popping the two screw covers from the inset area of the upper dashboard. Two 7mm screws hold it to the consul frame, while large pressure clips line the very front edge, use a larger flat blade screw driver to remove the clips. remove the upper dash pad and place it in the back seat. pull back the protective foam, and the relay is mounted closest to the firewall just to the left of dead center.
Lift the car, remove the tire, remove the brake shoe/caliper and remove the old brake pad. Slide in the new brake pad, replace the brake shoe/caliper, replace the tire and lower the car.

The PSP mini d-pad is very easy to remove, but you'll probably needs your fingernails.
Remove screw @ bottom of horn pad. (After disconnecting Neg. battery cable of course.) Disconnect horn wire from pad. Remove center nut. Use wheel puller and REMOVE.
Lift the car, remove the tire, remove the brake shoe/caliper, and remove the brake pad. Dispose of the old pad, put in the new brake pad, replace the brake shoe/caliper, replace the tire and lower the car.
