It looks impossible but is quite easy.
Flip seat up.
On the inside of the bracket, on the rod, there is a removable clip. Remove the clip on both sides.
Push inward on the bar going through the bracket. Then remove seat.

These instructions do not apply to 2010 or 2011 2-dr Wranglers. (And possibly not to any after 2007 model design changes.)
For the 2011's if you have a softop, open swing-gate and unzip rear window about 3/4 up (if temperature is over, say, 50 degrees. Otherwise risk cracking the window.)
Fold window up out of the way. Pull the seat release latch, then fold seat up and forward. You will see the front of seat is attached by brackets to the (welded, not bolted) horseshoe-shaped floor mounts. You will also see two steel rods connecting both brackets on the underside of the seat. One rod is thinner and flexes, while the other is larger diameter and rigid. Put you thumb under the thicker rod, and with other fingers grasp the thinner rod near either end where it goes through seat bracket.
Now squeeze/pull the thinner rod back and down towards the thicker rod. (You may have to climb inside to get a good grip, unless you have really long arms!) This motion will release the catch holding the bracket to the floor mount. Lift up on bottom of the seat while still applying pressure to squeezing the thinner rod (helps to have a buddy to help lift it off while you are squeezing the rods.) Repeat for other side of seat. Turn seat so you can remove it through rear of Jeep. Also if you have the built-in woofer in back, be careful crawling around inside and while removing seat that you don't damage it. Store the seat and you're done!
Yes, that should work.
If there is a seat and a seat belt, yes.
lift the handle on back of the seat
I used a T40 on my 1997 Wrangler on the forward brackets of the fold-and-tumble rear seat.
There are bolts on the floor at the front and back of the back seat holding it to the body.
Yes, they should be the same
4 people comfortably. Two in front, two in back with the exception of middle seat for crampness.
flip seat back forward, then grab release handle on the back of the bottom part of the seat and pull seat forward.
On the underside of the track on each end there is a torx screw. Slide the seat forward and you can get to two of the torx screws. Slide it back and you can get to the other two. The seat will lift off without having to remove the brackets.
Under the passenger seat.
The Jeep Wrangler has four seats, as does the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. There are, however, companies that manufacture a portable third row seat for use in the Jeep Wranglers to add extra space.
Yes, the 2002 Jeep Wrangler had front seat driver and passenger air bags.
