AnswerYou have to take it to a dealer, the service department has to program those. Answerthe guy with the first answer is trying to be funny. but hes not. u gotta go to the dealer and theyll take the serial number and program it there. its not a do-it-yourself type of thing. All these answers are wrong. It deals with a sequence of electrical input from the car such as placing the ignition in the on and off position several times. The exact sequence is different and with research on the net you can find it. Only in rare instances does the car need a special "adaptor" along with the sequence to program it. Good luck finding it.
AnswerThe only wrong answer is the one above. The manual does discuss programming additional remotes. However, if it is the only remote you have and you need it programmed then you must take it into a dealer\automotive electrician to program it. No ifs, buts or maybes. It is possible to do yourself with a small amount of technical skill. You must locate the data link connector under the driver's side of the dash. You must connect pins 1 and 4 with a small wire or jumper. This tells the system it is ready to be reprogrammed. Close all doors. Turn ignition switch to ACC. then back off. The door locks will lock/unlock as a signal the system is ready. Push any button on on each keyfob to be programmed. They must be pressed within 1 minute of each other. The doors will lock/unlock to signal the codes were recieved. Remove jumper wire and enjoy your remotes.
