the bonnet lever is under the steering wheel it should have a red handle
Below the steering wheel.
my bonnet is stuck fast how can i open it.
bonnet wont open with leaver how can I get it open?
Open the passenger door, the bonnet release is just below the glove box, on the left hand side plastic trim. There is a yellow safety catch in between the drivers side front headlamp unit and the Ford badge, move that to one side (spring loaded) and the bonnet should lift up. (UK model, right hand drive)
Open the door with your key and pull the bonnet release.
On the bonnet, slide the Ford oval and insert the ignition key into the lock located there
open the bonnet
Put your nans titts underneath it
On the bottom of the steering column, on mine it's a large red handle. Under the bonnet (on mine) go to the centre of the front and feel carefully for a horizontal plastic switch, push it right and the bonnet will open The support arm is across the front above the radiator.
under the steering wheel column there is a red handle that gives every impression it's going to be a steering wheel height adjustment, but it isn't, it's the bonnet release. Took us some finding too I've never taken longer to find a bonnet release in my life!this covers the 1995 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 and 2002 ford fiesta as well (just making it easier for google to find there)
