Unscrew the screws holding the cap and lift it up and away from the distributor. Pull the rotor straight up and install the new one.

I believe you mean suburban, It has a 4.3 L engine with a timing chain. Chevrolet didn't badge the Tahoe until 1995.
It is right behind the Throttle body and just to the right of the distributor. The wire that is in the center of the distributor cap hooks to the ignition coil.
