You can get your 1998 Lincoln Navigator to raise off the wheels by jacking up the vehicle. Jack the vehicle up from the frame. The vehicle will raise off the wheels.
jack up the front on the driver side ,crawl under and look up towards the engine block on the driver side u cant miss it.dont forget to turn off the air compressor before u jack up your truck. thats where it is on my 2004 nav.

if you have the one that has two hoses coming from radiator lines that has the oil filter on it you have to take the motor mount lose and jack the motor and the bolt and nut lose on the housing spout and then you can change it standing up.
