first things first, run your green wire from your tachometer through the firewall to the engine bay. there should be an open wire running from your ignition module(by the disributor) put a female end on the green wire, crimp it, and plug it in to that open male connection. then open your fuse box, rap the red stripped wire around the ecm ignition fuse and plug it in(this is what turns the tach on when you turn the key,) then run the white wire to your dash lights which should be the third fuse down in the second vertical column. do the same thing to the white wire as you did the red one. run the black wire to any open metal because this is your ground wire. the best place to connect the ground wire is the open metal right under the dash board and fuse panel covers. i have used this many times to hook up tachs and it works very well. enjoy many happy controlled and monitored revs!
Remove the instrument panel cover. Remove the tachometer retaining screws. Remove the tachometer cable from the back of the tachometer. Reverse the process to install the new tachometer.
