Pull the Neg. Battery Cable, Remove Fuel from Tank, Jack up the Rear, Remove Fill and Vent Hoses from the Left side of the Fuel Tank. Remove Skid Pan, Loosen Straps on Bottom of Tank, Two Bolts in Front And Back, Leaving Bolts, in place for now. Place Support under Tank. Fuel Lines and Wires are installed over Left Top Strap, at the Factory. Hot Wires for Pump And Gauge, use a Connector, but Ground Wires have to be Unbolted. Swing, Rear Ends Of Support Straps, toward the Outside of the Vehicle, and Lower Tank enough that Fuel Line Connections can be reached. Remember to use a Backup Wrench on these Connections. Reverse, this process for install. This was for a S-10 Blazer, w/rear Fuel Tank.

You will need to drain the fuel from your 2000 Chevrolet Blazer fuel tank. Remove the fuel line from the fuel tank. Remove the fuel filter retaining plate. Remove the fuel filter. Reverse the process to install the new fuel filter.

You need to drop the fuel tank, and remove it from the top of the tank. It is quite easy to do. Just takes some time.
Your fuel pump is in the fuel tank!
It is inside of the fuel tank. You will have to remove the fuel tank to get to it.
The fuel pump on that 98 Blazer would be found inside the fuel tank. The fuel tank would have to be removed to gain access to the pump.
The fuel pump for the 1990 full size blazer is located inside of the fuel tank. If this model does not have an access plate in the floor of the blazer then the tank will have to be removed to get to the pump.
