These sliding doors are notorious for having sliders that wear out allowing the door to misalign when closing. This misalignment causes the latch at the rear of the door to overshoot the pin that it's supposed to hit and it jams over the top of the pin rather than latching to it. The latch also engages preventing further attemps to close the door as well. First use a screwdriver to unlatch the mechanism by holding the door handle open and prying the latch open again, then instead of sliding the door closed in the usual fashion using the handle, slowly slide the door forward until it is 90% closed and with your hand on the rear of the door (next to the glass and about 1 foot above the latch area) slam the door closed perpendicular to the van by pushing the back of the door toward the middle seats very hard.
A cabin filter is optional on a 2004 Chrysler Town and Country. If equipped it is accessed through a sliding door under the dash on the passenger side.
Here's a video that I've included below, that shows you how to repair the door lock actuator on the sliding door of a 2001-2007 Chrysler Town and Country.
The cabin air filter in a 2006 Town and Country is located under the dash on the passenger side. The filter is held in place by means of a sliding door.
If equipped, it is below the glove box area. Look up from the passenger floor for a sliding cover. If cover is present, filter is behind it.
There are a couple of common failures. The wiring harness at the bottom of the track breaks, and the latch fails. A scan tool is required to communicate with the sliding door computer to check for trouble codes.
All fuses are under the hood next to the battery. The lid has a map of locations on it.
If it has split temperature zones in the front, then it should. Look under the dash on the passenger side for a sliding access panel.
The passenger sliding door of a Ford Windstar LX needs frequent cleaning and checking of the rubbers to prevent jamming. If a door jams a lot during sliding, take out the rubber linings and clean them up before re-attaching.
You can find a Chevy suburban rear passenger sliding seat drawing at most local libraries. You can also obtain the drawing from most Chevrolet dealerships.

keys are locked in car ,how do I get inside a 1996 Chrysler Concorde
i am currently repairing mine as we speak,in the lower door opening where the track can be seen, inside this track is the wiring harness that commonly breaks the black power wire that powers the door motor.you can solder/repair it but i would recommend replacing this short harness as the wires become brittle after several hundred opening cycles and will just break elsewhere.the Chrysler part number for the passenger side is #04868122AE. took me about half an hour to change.good luck
