Remove transmission oil pan
You have to remove the transmission oil pan to access the filter.
The corners have silicone sealer on them. Tap sides of pan with a soft hammer.
No, the oil pan has a plug, usually a 9/16" one, that is located on the lowest part of the oil pan. That's where you drain the oil from. There should never be a need to take off your oil pan unless you have much more serious issues than just an oil change.
No, but you do have to have the oil pan off, and sometimes it is easier to get the oil pan off if the trans has been removed.
Behind the oil pan
there is a drain plug on the bottom rear of the oil pan let the oil drian then take the oil filter off with is closer to the driver side tire its hard to reach then replace the oil filter and drain plug and if it the 3.7 5 quarts of oil i changed mine tonight
