I got mine for $50. driver door. the door panel comes off. their is 2 or 3 torx screws that go into the door latch. remove those. this is a job for someone who can see with there hands and not there eyes. their are 3 or 4 rods connected to the door latch. remove them, the electrical connector and you can take the old one out.
Buy a new truck
I had the same problem try getting a new latch mechanism from the junkyard(about $12). Latch mechanism is the thing that holds the door closed.
Replace the door latch.
To fix the 300m latch, you will need to remove the inner door panel. After the door panel has been removed, then you can check the door latch components to determine what has broken and how to best repair it.
i dont know how to fix it so you tell me how to fix it
you just have to push up on the latch
If the door latch on a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer is broken on the car frame, a new latch might have to be welded in. The old door latch will have to be cut out with a torch. If the latch is broken on the door, a new door might be cheaper than welding in a new latch.
Remove door panel and replace latch mechanism
If the sliding door will not close on the 2005 Saturn Relay, look for something that is stuck in the door latch area. Also check the latch to see if it has come out of adjustment. The pin or hook might need to be adjusted or tightened.
You will need to open the door and look on the latch side a turn off the child restraint switch. This is to prevent small children from opening the door. You could also have a door rod that is stretched on an older vehicle and you will need to remove the door pad to inspect this. It connects the inside door handle to the door latch.
get a hinge replacement kit for that door. its the door sagging NT the latch.
Hi. I've had this problem with our van. You will have to remove the inside door panel. The rod going from the handle to the door latch has come loose. There is a plastic lock that holds the rod to the door latch. Your auto bodyshop should have this plastic lock. Good Luck
