There should be a C Clip on the backside that you have to remove. Simply push the door panel back a bit to find the wing on the clip and then using a small flat tip screwdriver push it off a bit then do the opposite side and there you have it. Good Luck and Remember.

If it's the outer handle you would need to remove the door panel, then remove the rivits that hold the handle to the outside of the car. Then remove the window track and slide it down inside of the door and unhook the rod on the handle, and now you can slide the door handle out.
The plastic clips on you window regulator have broken. You need to replace the whole thing if those clips have broken. Take the door pannel off and see if there are plastic peices in the bottom of the door.
Unscrew all the screws (look on the door handle and all over to get allthe screws) Roll down the window lift the door off
if you push your door panel back and look down in between the door panel and the window handle there will be a little clip that you have to remove. sometimes you can get it with a screwdriver but they make a special tool for it. most body repair shops or car audio shops will have them and sometimes you can get them to pop that clip out for you for a tip.
First, pry up the electric window control panel, and disconnect everything, then tuck the wires back down out of the way. Remove the door panel by removing the two bolts in the handle/ armrest then lok carefully at the trim ring around the door handle, and you should be able to see where you need to use a flat screwdriver to pop it out of place, and remove it. After that with a flat screwdriver, cats paw, or something else you can gently pry away the entire door panel from the bottom up (it kind of hangs from the "window sill" then lift up when you get to the window.
Window regulator and motor
My 2004 Sienna LE has 65,000 miles and the door latch has broken. The latch broke in half and the part connected to the door broke and fell inside the door - breaking my window clips. Now, I have to replace the window - or not be able to roll down the window. I have not had any problems with the lock breaking.
remove the door handle and window crank (you can use a coat hanger to remove the clip) remove the door lock knob. Then reach down at the bottom and pull out the panel. Install in the same order.

From there you will see how the handle bolts in in a couple of places, and don't forget to take note of how to attach the lever itself before removing the old one. replace the handle, and replace everything.. I think it took me like 20-30 min to figure it out, and install it...
Had the same problem with drivers door. I removed the door panel and was able to see screws that held the door handle on. I replaced the handle with one from the wreckers. It was not a big job but is tight working inside any door. You may be able to open the door with a screw driver pushed directly in the handle button hole. Don't drop anything in the door or it will have to stay there. My arm was too big to reach down and pick up anything I dropped.
Open the door!!
These repairs are not difficult just a pain in the butt Remove inner door panel. It is held on by the arm rest, door handle release trim and a whole bunch of push in retainers that will break as you carefully pry around the outside of the panel. Available at most auto parts stores. Then it will be need to be lifted up to release the clips at the top, having the window down usually helps at this point. Once the panel is out of the way pull the plastic sheet off, try to damage it as little as possible, you want to reinstall it. Roll the window up. You can now see the back of the handle and lock. The nuts and clips should be fairly self explanatory. Good Luck.
