To check the Transmission Fluid on most vehicles the vehicle needs to be in park and running in some cases you’ll need a longneck funnel/short funnel and you’ll have to pour it down the dipstick tube in other cases there’s a port on the top of the engine usually off to the side sometimes hard to see a red cap it goes to the transmission case unscrew it, Now with the vehicle running go underneath the vehicle remove the drain plug for the transmission It will be the plug closest to the middle of the car not the front (BE EXTREMELY CARE NOT TO REMOVE THE OIL DRAIN PLUG) if transmission fluid comes out it’s full if none comes out go back into the engine compartment with a funnel pour transmission in to where the red cap was with a necked funnel until it begins to flow from underneath the vehicle replace the drain plug underneath the vehicle and re-insert the red cap.
