Remove the filter, making sure the old gasket comes off, and after applying oil to the new filter gasket, install the filter, tightening it 3/4 turn after it contacts the mounting surface. (NO MORE NO LESS) Replace the drain plug, torquing to 20 lb/ft and pour in the proper amount of the correct weight oil. Start the engine and check for leaks. You are done. Dispose of the old oil and filter at a recycling center.
